Helen P. Haggerty
August 29, 1918 - June 17, 2017
Helen P. Haggerty, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the age of 98. She was born in Susquehanna, PA, daughter of Joseph and Helen Donahue King. Helen received her RN degree from St. Mary’s in Rochester, NY. She and husband Joseph raised four children in Vestal, NY. They retired to Boynton Beach, FL for 25 years and Helen later moved to Savannah, GA in 2010. Helen had a love of music and could sing all the old songs. Helen also spent many years gardening, crafting and going to garage sales. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Haggerty (2001), daughter, Maureen Haggerty (1964), sister, Anna King, sister-in-law, Loretta King and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marian King.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Haggerty (Frances, deceased) of Binghamton, NY; and their daughter, Kathleen Haggerty of Binghamton, NY; son, Jerome Haggerty (Vicky) of Savannah, GA; their children, Shauna (Phillip) Kucera of Savannah, GA; Ryan (Mabel) Haggerty of Philadelphia, PA; Meghan (Michael) Murphy of Atlanta, GA; son, Timothy Haggerty (Diann) of Santa FE, NM and their daughter, Zoe Potenza of New York, NY and brother, John King of Binghamton, NY.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
